One Village, Lifting the Whole Child

At Oakland, we are committed to the success of all students. Our school programming includes a focus on the whole child – including academic as well as social-emotional needs. Our goal is that all our unique learners are able to actualize their potential and be ready for the next steps in their education. We dedicate time to identify our student’s unique strengths and areas for growth to make sure we address them in a way that they will be successful in school and in life.

In addition to our rigorous academics, Oakland offers a variety of enrichment opportunities that support socio-emotional development and academic growth in our students. Oakland is dedicated to providing a quality neighborhood school for your family. We know that it takes a village in order for our students to succeed. Everyone in the community – our staff, parents and students- is committed to creating a safe, encouraging environment for the young people in our community to flourish and grow.

Over the past seven years, Oakland staff and students have diligently worked to bring our School Performance Framework score from red to green- where we’ve stayed for the past several years! Our students surpass district averages in the areas of involvement opportunities, communication and academics, according to recent parent satisfaction survey results.

We welcome you and your family to be a part of Oakland Elementary’s Village. To take a tour of our school, please call our main office at 720-424-5070. Or, watch our school tour videos below!
