Oakland Elementary is kicking off the year with our Back-to-School Night Extravaganza filled with food, fun, and community. Join us from 4:30 - 7PM on Thursday, September 4th!

Families are invited for the unveiling of our new mural, shaped by student voices and brought to life by incredible artist Ulises Villa, the launch of the Oakland Literacy Challenge, and plenty of fun including a bouncy castle and slide.

Community partners like Struggle of Love, Black Parent Network, Denver Public Library, Ktone Cares Foundation, DPS Family and Community Engagement (FACE), Latino Education Advisory Committee (LEAC), and Denver Health will have tables on the blacktop to share resources.

Bring a lawn chair or blanket for Mr. T’s barbecue! Nothing brings everyone together like good food.

Parents also get the chance to visit classrooms and connect with teachers, making this a true celebration of learning and community. We hope to see you there!
