Uplift Aerospace landed right here at Oakland Elementary for an out-of-this-world experience! Last Friday, our 4th and 5th ELA-E students had an unforgettable learning experience through hands-on Moon Mission Workshops featuring immersive VR technology and a creative Letters to the Moon activity.
A real astronaut, Dr. Sian Proctor, gave students the rare opportunity to learn directly from someone who has trained for space exploration. Not only is she the Mission Pilot for Inspiration 4 and geoscience artist, she is the first Black woman to pilot a spaceship! Learn more about her story here.
