I was born and raised in Chicago and have been living in Denver for 10 years. I have always wanted to be a teacher for as long as I remember. I studied undergraduate at Monmouth College in Illinois, where I received my Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education. I have also received a Masters Degree in Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education from the University of Northern Colorado.
It has always been a dream of mine to teach in the community in which I live and that is possible for me working at Oakland. My favorite thing about Oakland is the students. I love learning with them, learning from them, and helping them grow and recognize their potential.
A little more about me: I enjoy reading, dancing, poetry, watching movies, traveling and spending time with my dog Chicago. It is an honor to work with and support the Oakland community.
