Hello there! I am Janelle Constance Bryan (but just Constance will do here at Oakland). I am from Colorado Springs, CO where I was born and raised, and moved to Denver in 2009 for college. I studied Art Education and Painting at the Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design and started my teaching career in Denver Public Schools in 2012. I have been at Oakland since 2014 as the Visual Arts Teacher, New Teacher Ambassador, and Yearbook Coordinator. I love to learn new skills and hobbies, so in my free time I can be found playing board games or watching game shows, learning new art techniques, or learning new instruments. I especially love hanging out with my husband and enjoying dinner with friends. I have always wanted to be a teacher and can’t think of anything I would rather do in life. To be able to inspire and create with students at Oakland just tops the cake! I love this community and the joy that students bring to the art classroom everyday.
