Hello my name is Jennifer Chavez. I have been at Oakland for 2 years as an ECE paraprofessional Model 1 classroom. I was born and raised in Denver Colorado. Although I have my Associated Degree in Medicine. I have found a true passion in the education of children. My goal is to become a teacher in ECE. Then continue to persue my dream until I succeed with a degree in childhood special education. My favorite thing about being part of the Oakland family is the collaboration and support from all the staff. Oakland has such a great community. The best part about being a paraprofessional at Oakland is to continue to support the students in my class. Enjoy seeing them with a smile and succeed everyday. When I am not teaching, i spend most of the time with my wonderful family. In my free time alone, I like to enjoy listening to music and decorate my house.
