Hello! My name is Luisana Gamboa and I have the honor of being the ELA-S Teacher of Oakland Elementary.
I’m a Venezuelan from San Cristobal, and I got my Bachelors Degree in Education from the José Antonio Páez University in San Diego, Venezuela. I also have a Master’s Degree in Language Didactics in Early Childhood Education and Elementary from the International University of La Rioja in Spain.
I’ve been working in education for the last 16 years, 11 years teaching middle school in Venezuela, and five years teaching kindergarten in Colorado, and I’ve been living in Aurora for the last six years. One thing I love about teaching is that my students always make me laugh with all the brilliant things they say almost every minute!!!
When not teaching, I love to share with my family, watching movies or visiting one of the many beautiful places that Colorado has!
Being part of the Oakland family is a constant and beautiful learning experience, not only because of our students but also because of their families and the whole community.
