My name is Delaynie, and I am the new school nurse here at Oakland!
I have a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Neuroscience from the University of Colorado at Boulder and received my Bachelor’s of Nursing degree from Regis University.
I was born in Southern California, but have been in Colorado since I was a baby and grew up in Aurora. I now live up north in Broomfield and love being up near the mountains!
When I am not nursing, you’ll usually find me with my dogs, spending time with my family, and traveling to new places!
Oakland has been such a welcoming and friendly community, and I am really looking forward to becoming a part of the Oakland family!
The best part about being a school nurse is interacting with the students and teachers. “”You can’t educate a child who isn’t healthy and you can’t keep a child healthy if they aren’t educated””. I love being a part of the education team and keeping our little learners healthy and in the classroom!
